Edison High School didn’t have a girl’s lacrosse team until a small group of students, led by Mia Whalen, decided to start a lacrosse club in the Spring of 2017. All of them new to the sport, the girls held a summer camp to learn the game and practice their skills.

About the same time, a new teacher joined the Edison staff who had been a girl’s lacrosse coach at another high school and along with his friend became the first club coaches.
The team practiced and played throughout the Fall learning the game, honing their skills, and preparing for their first season.

Meanwhile, a group of dedicated parents formed a booster board and in December of 2017 registration took place for their first
Spring season. In its inaugural year the club had 66 players, 3 teams and 4 coaches.
Since then, the girls have had two very successful seasons of scoring goals, winning games and having a blast!

With the determination, commitment, and hard work of the players, coaches, and parents, as well as strong community support,
Edison High School Girls Lacrosse became an official CIF Team sport in 2019,
cementing the girls' legacy and the sport's future at Edison.

THANK YOU to our supporters for turning dreams into a reality!  GO CHARGERS!
