Edison Girls Lacrosse Weekly News and Reminders

FALL BALL LACROSSE  LEAGUE is a go.  There are a few spots open on both teams if you would like to play.

If you are interested in playing in the fall league there are still a few spots open on both teams.  The final  deadline to sign up for Fall Ball is this Wednesday.  If you would like to play, please email the attached registration form to: [email protected] . Mail your payment to: Chargers Girls Lacrosse, 2012 Diana Lane, Newport Beach, CA 92660.  Fall Ball and the skills clinic work hand in hand and is your only chance to hone your skills before try outs.

For all players who attended camp this summer, and all returning players, we are offering a fall lacrosse league.  There only way to get game experience is to play games.  This fall we will be having two teams (1 Varsity and 1 JV) participating in the Fall League and UCI Tournament. The League consists of two games per day for three consecutive Sundays and the UCI event is an all-day tournament with a minimum of 3 games.  The league dates are Sept 29, October 6th & 13th and played at Rancho Santa Margarita Middle School and the tournament is Nov 9th at the UCI Recreation Fields.

The cost is $150 per player and both teams are limited to 25 girls.

The Fall LAX Clinic started this week, and is off to a great start.  It is so exciting to so many girls putting in the work to be the best.  The effort and the time put in now is the difference that is going to make the next season for lacrosse at Edison even more amazing than last year.

Holly Reilly the former head coach for St. Margret’s, 2018 Orange County Girls Lacrosse Coach of the Year, is offering a fall clinic/ 5v5.  The date for the clinic is October 12.  It is being held at Mater De high school. The cost is $95, and it includes the following:

  • Positional instruction (attack, midfield, defense, goalie)
  • Small-sided playing opportunities
  • Individualized skill drills for at-home training
  • COMPETITIVE and fast-paced 5v5 play!

This is a fantastic training event for EVERY female lacrosse player!  Please see the attached flyer for more details.
